Urban Slicer Hot Honey Thai Peanut Chicken Stir Fry
Sweet heat. Savory depth. Just enough Thai influence to feel intentional without overthinking dinner.
This quick stir fry uses Urban Slicer Hot Honey to bring sticky sweetness and a slow-building heat, balanced with soy sauce, fish sauce, and a light peanut finish. It’s fast, flexible, and perfect over rice.
Serves: 3–4
Cook Time: ~30 minutes
Ingredients
Chicken & Veggies
2 lbs chicken breast, thinly sliced against the grain
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup carrots, thin sliced or matchsticks
1–2 cups additional vegetables (bell peppers, snap peas, onion, zucchini, your choice), I added 2 minced garlic cloves as well.
Duck Fat Spray (or a neutral oil)
Thai Hot Honey Peanut Sauce
¼ cup Urban Slicer Hot Honey
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1½ tbsp rice vinegar or fresh lime juice
1½ tbsp powdered peanut butter
1 tbsp warm water (to hydrate the peanut butter powder)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp sriracha
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp ground ginger (to taste)
1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water
For Serving (Optional but Recommended)
Cooked jasmine rice
Sesame Seeds
Fresh cilantro
Crushed peanuts or cashews
Lime wedges
Instructions
1. Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix all sauce ingredients and whisk well. Let the sauce rest for 2–3 minutes to allow the powdered spices to hydrate. You can make extra if you want.
2. Sear the Chicken
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add plenty of Duck Fat to the pan and sear the chicken in a single layer. Cook until lightly browned and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Stir Fry the Vegetables
Add a bit more oil if needed.
Cook the minced garlic, broccoli and carrots first for 2–3 minutes, then add softer vegetables and cook another 1–2 minutes until tender-crisp.
4. Bring It Together
Return the chicken to the pan.
Pour in the sauce and toss constantly for 60–90 seconds until everything is evenly coated and the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze.
Remove from heat immediately.
5. Serve
Spoon over jasmine rice and finish with sesame seeds, crushed peanuts, and a squeeze of lime.
Optional move: drizzle a little extra hot honey right before serving.
Flavor Notes
Sweet heat from the hot honey
Deep umami from soy + fish sauce
Light peanut flavor without heaviness
Balanced, sticky, and insanely craveable
