Sweet Strawberry Basil
This was one of those pizzas I had in my head, but wasn't sure it would translate well to tastebuds. It is shockingly good. If you are looking for a really unique dessert pizza that not only tastes great, but has an eye-popping look to it...this is your pie!
Bottom up:
- Urban Slicer Neapolitan Dough brushed lightly with Olive Oil
- Bake Dough until golden brown and cooked through, 3-4 min high heat
- Sweetened Ricotta (recipe below)
- Sliced Strawberries, pressed into the sweet ricotta
- Basil Leaves, alternate between strawberries
- Place some diced strawberries and basil in the center
- Balsamic Reduction, drizzle as desired
Sweetened Ricotta:
- 1 cup of Whole Milk Ricotta
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 1tsp Vanilla Extract (or to taste)
- Mix or whip well and reserve for use on pizza
